Meanwhile, everything included with this saddle has now been photographed and is shown here. Until it sell, I will continue to do my best to answer any questions as quickly as possible. If you have any questions, let me know. I still can't find a few of the small straps, but thats because they were disintegrating from age so I removed them years ago, treated to halt aging and stored them away. They're here someplace, but not shown.

This entire rig has been together for at least 50 years (that I owned it) and I suspect since new. Rig is all in excellent +++ condition for its age (aka museum quality). Originally Cavalry or Infantry issue from Ft. Robinson, many of the accessories have never been used. To follow is a list of what's included.

There is an original owners name scratched into one of the items in this list, but I have never researched the providence. To follow is a list of what is included.

1904 McClellan saddle complete with tapaderos, girth and all original rigging. Original issue saddle bags with original canvas liners - liners appear unused since new. Mess rig including mess kit, canvas bag, water cup, knife, spoon and fork in original canvas sleeves. Most all stitching still intact! 2nd set military marked/issued knife, spoon fork.

Canteen in original bag with strap. Saddle blanket in original condition. Ground blanket in original condition. Ground tie rig including stake and rope - appear unused since new. Misc ground tie hardware pullies? Feed bag, canvas and leather original issue with intact head strap. Original issue spurs with straps. Original issue headstall with bit. Original issue sword and scabbard. Original issue rifle scabbard (no gun) Most likely fits 1903 Springfield. Various leather connecting straps/buckles but most have deteriorated beyond being usable, though all the parts are here. Feel free to write if you have any questions. UPDATES: A viewer has written and explained that this is actually referred to as an Infantry saddle as identified by D rings and the wooden stirrups and that its a rifle scabbard, not carbine. UPDATES: Rifle Scabbard is marked WDC in one place and LFCo 11-18 in another.
