This year is printed on the handle of the telephone receiver. Makers SB & Co Ltd (Siemens brothers & co).

In good condition overall condition considering its age. Very rare piece it seems and I have been unable to find a similar model.

The telephone is in a joinered wooden box. A very well made and solid piece of kit. I cannot say if this still works, my instinct says not but I have no way of testing it. Inside the joinered box is the mechanics of the telephone. There is space for a battery and the bells and wiring all look to be in very good condition. The clapper inside which would ring the bells is unfortunately snapped but is inside the box and could possibly be mended. The leather strap handle on the top of the box is also snapped unfortunately, but again might be able to be replaced. Hinges and locking mechanism all intact and working.
