Bavarian Picklehaube removable Spike helmet with Unit Marked Cover, WWI German

Offered is an good example of a wartime, subdued metal Bavarian Picklehaube. The leather shell has some minor cracking and damage. Leather shell itself seems slightly warped, but nothing too noticeable except from the back, leather is in soft and pliable though. Near the top spike base there is a dent, The liner is in good condition with the "fingers" having some tears, nothing major. Does NOT have Cockades or chinstrap. The cover is in good condition, with minor staining and discoloration spots. One minor tear in the front by the felt unit numbers, about 1 cm long. 1915 era Green felt insignia. "38" is in nice condition and the "R" seems to have been added separately, but original, in a darker color green.
