German WW1 Original Mauser Gew98 Claw Mount Scope & Bases (k98 sniper zf39)

German WW1 Original Goerz 4 1/2 power Mauser Gew98 Sniping Scope with its original Akah Claw Mounts and Bases. Ocular housing stamped GERTAR 4 1/2 C. GOERZ BERLIN N 3484 with the Maker's Insignia Logo.

Rear claw mount stamped Akah. Bottom of front base stamped M 9 8. Lever side edge of rear base also stamped M 98.

Note the rear side edge contour of the rear base to accommodate the cocking of the 98 rifle's bolt. German word for Model Number is Modellnummer (M). M 98 is hence a designation to the Model 98 rifle. Also German word for rifle is Gewehr, hence Gew98. Bottom of rear base stamped with what appears as capital G.

Markings are small and are difficult for me to photograph. All markings are present as described. Clear sighting with functioning elevation adjustment dial and sharp single post reticle.
