Gurkhas World War-1 Mark -1 Handmade Khukuri Knife

Gurkhas World War-1 Mark1 Khukuri Kukri Knife (1917). Its a reproduction of the world war and, the mark 1 version with slight change on handle and weight balance. These khukuri knives are hand forged by local black smith (Kami) of Nepal. The high carbon steel Rc-5160 are hand forged and tempered differentially. These knifes were the war khukuri knife that has been used by Gurkhas in world war 1.

These knifes are very good for heavy duty and jungle use like hunting, bushcraft and other purpose. Water buffalo horn is used for the handle and yak hide scabbard is used for scabbard.

It comes with two little knife, karda (sharp knife) used for skinning or digging hole and chakmak (blunt knife) used for sharpening the knife or making a fire. The blade need to be clean with the engine oil or gun oil to prevent it from rusting. Sandpaper can be used for cleaning the rust. File can be use to sharp the blade and for the bent tips.
