Imperial German World War I Pour Le Merite Blue Max Neck Order Decoration. Wide by 2 1/8 tall. The front has a Kings crown with an F below on the upper arm. It also reads Pour Le Merite. The top of the fan suspension that is part of the Blue Max is maker marked GODET.

The reverse side is blank. The decoration itself is a four armed maltese cross with eagles in each corner. Includes the presentation neck ribbon that is constructed of a black cotton body with cloth and flat silver bullion wire along the top and bottom borders. Measures 13 3/8 wide by 2 3/16 tall.

This was Germanys highest award for gallantry in combat action. The frame is gold plated brass construction with double sided powder blue enamel. Otherwise, I reserve the right to cancel your order.
