Lot-wwi Us M1905 Bayo & Wwii Us M3 Fighting Knife-blade Marked Case 1943

Bayonet is in very good condition. Marked RIA on the left side of the blade for Rock Island Arsenal and dated 1917 with a flaming bomb proof mark.

Blade has original blue metal finish showing some wear. Remaining metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Wood grips do not exactly match each other and may be replacements.

The left grip is excellent while the right grip shows wear and a chip near the tang. Fitted in correct original WWI scabbard. Canvas covering is salty with some wear and staining. Leather tip has tight stitching and some flaking. Complete with belt hook that has added wire for hanging on a wall.

Scabbard has a tag attached which reads Doddy Kohlmier carried-WWII. The knife is also in very good condition. Maker marked CASE on the blade and dated 1943 along with the model designation.

Has a partially visible small flaming bomb proof mark on the pommel. Blade has bright and gray metal finish.

Fitted in correct original M6 leather sheath that is clearly marked U. M6 MILSCO 1943 on the front with a flaming bomb proof mark. Leather is soft and supple with some wear and flaking. Stitching and rivets are nice and tight.

The middle part of the belt loop has a tear. Complete with belt hook and handle straps that have working snap. The belt hook has an added leather thong for hanging on a wall, and also has a tag attached which reads Doddy Kohlmier carried-WWII.
