Type: Model of 1905 Bayonet for Springfield 1903 rifle in. 30-06, and also fits the M1 Garand. Branch: United States Army or Marine Corps.

The right ricasso is marked "US / 618277". The opposite side is marked "SA / FLAMING BOMB / 1915".

Size: The blade is approximately 15-7/8" long, with an overall length of approximately 20-1/2". This is an authentic WWI era production pre-U. Involvement Model of 1905 bayonet for the acclaimed M1903 service rifle. The bayonet is in excellent shape for being 100 years old, and retains most of its bluing on the blade! The bayonet comes with a correct scabbard that is rawhide with canvas wrap.

The blade retains almost all of its original blued finish, and has sharp markings. The blade does have scattered areas of pin prick erosion and patina. There are very light nicks in the cutting edge of the blade, but are very small and hard to notice.

The wood grip panels are free of major damage and have light compression marks. The bayonet catch mechanism functions as intended. The scabbard is free of visible damage, minus some wear on the canvas cover, and one stitch on the leather protective cap.

This is a beautiful example of the M1905, which has survived a century in good order. Please check out our photographs, feedback, and other items.
