The 87cm long, slightly curved blade shows good etchings of foliate patterns with cannon, flaming bomb, unit engraved panel showing'3rd Middlesex Vol Artillery' (1861 to 1908) with maker mark for Jones. Numbered 1475 to blade spine. The leather service scabbard is in good/solid condition, with dark age & 15 cm length of stitching missing to seam near the slightly pitted metal drag. Good large size, being 106cm overall.
