No evidence of excessive sharpening. Some pitting near the tip and a small chip in the blade, please see photo's. The blade is marked: No. The Coco-Bolo handles are nice, no chips or cracks.The Leather scabbard has the typical Collins Tooling Pattern. The leather is soft and supple, no cracks or crazing.
These knives were used by US Army Troops and Engineers who were deployed in the Philippines during the Spanish American War and the Philippine Insurection periods from 1898 through 1914.
