A WWI German Prussian Pilot Badge. Old and guaranteed original badge!

Fine quality and great condition example. This badge is thinly stamped out of silver, which was additionally decorated with a silver wash. 46 mm(width) x 72 mm(height). The German WWI Prussian Pilot's badge(Flugzeugführerabzeichen) was authorized for use on 27 January 1913.

The pilot's badge design is beautiful and laconic. The center of the badge carries a plane(it's Taube monoplane, the first aircraft used by the German army) flying over a landscape. Badge outside perimeter is surrounded by a wreath with two types of the leaves. The top of the wreath mounted by Prussian crown.

The wreath left side has laurel leaves symbolizing victory, the right side has oak leaves signifying strength and hardiness, and the two are joined together with a bow at the bottom of the badge signifying the joining of these two values.
