RARE WWI US Navy Marine Corps USMC medal for Heroism 3 piece construction

This is a RARE offering! 100% original and was originally awarded to a Marine officer for service in Nicaragua in the early 30s. This Marine went on to serve a full career into the 1950s and had a complete set medals mounted and framed but this one was left off as it showed some age and subsequently disposed of.

Medal is clean and complete with original ribbon and brooch and ribbon shows some fade to the front side but a very salty original! Classic early 3 pc construction and original wrap brooch.
