ULTRA RARE WWI WESTERN ELECTRIC SIGNAL CORPS SCR-67 TRANSMITTER RADIO. These are nearly impossible to find. Very, very few examples still exist today.

I've been an avid radio collector and dealer for over 25 years and I've only ever seen just 3 of these. Far more rare than the sister unit SCR-68. It's in nice shape and all original, it's missing the middle SCR67 tag. There is a patent tag that fell off that's included in the last picture that goes with the unit. I had pictured it without tubes but do have some display VT1 and I will Include. A bit of history on this.

The SCR-67 was built by Western Electric for the Army Signal Corps for use in 1918. It was designed to be used in conjunction with it's sister unit, the SCR-68, that was used in airplanes. This Ground Set was used at stations located on the ground. It derives it's power from a dynamotor driven by two 6-volt storage batteries.
