VERY RARE STERLING SILVER MEN'S WWI PORCELAIN DIAL SHADOW NMBR 1918 ELGIN WATCH

THIS IS A VERY RARE, ELGIN MEN'S WATCH FOR YOUR HEIRLOOM COLLECTION! It will be a spectacular addition to any man's wardrobe, and this exquisite piece has a great, unmistakably classic look that is sure to catch the eye of many admirers when it's strapped on your wrist! This very desirable, WWI era timepiece features a clean, rare porcelain, Elgin signed dial, having large, shadow numerals that display the accurate passing of time to beefy, long hands. It is perfectly accented by a glass crystal, and framed by a broad, silver bezel. A crisp sub seconds chapter and full ring of railroad minute markers will offer precision at a glance.

This dial has a few extremely faint hairlines, and still looks fabulous. The masculine Elgin signed, genuine sterling silver cushion case measures approx. 32mm, not including the bold crown, x 42mm, including the narrow, gently curved lugs. This case is in good, vintage condition overall, showing some light wear and normal marks and scratches, and the new, quality Hirsch Camel Grain band is a wonderful complement to this remarkable piece. 8.5 long, not including the sparkling, golden buckle. Beneath the engraved back, (bearing the initials BTU), you'll find a strong running, grade 462, 7 jewel Elgin USA movement that has been regulated and is keeping excellent time. It will be an outstanding addition to any high end accessory portfolio.
