Vintage WWI P-1907 Bayonet Hooked Quillon Australia JAC W/ Scabbard SMLE. Model 1907 SMLE Enfield Bayonet. Vintage original World War I era p1907 model bayonet. The ricasso is marked with a crown over E.

That makes it made by J. Chapman in October of 1911.

The opposite side of the ricasso has the Enfield inspection marks and bend test. The pommel has "244" on one side and a D with a broken arrow inside of it for Australian department of defense. The cross guard has a symbol with D at the end (the beginning is hard to make out) followed by the number 31235. It is in good shape with some surface rust on the metal parts. The wood grips are all there.

The leather scabbard also is in good shape with surface rust on the metal parts. The leather is marked "Mangrovite'44" on the back side next to the seam and on the other side of the seam is a "B".

At the top of the mouth piece it is marked "3 D (broken arrow) D". The chape is marked with a "A" inside a star for Lithgow proof mark.
