I hope you find something that you like. All my antique pocket watches are generally in original condition, unless otherwise stated.

Any faults which are apparent are included in the description. I will always be honest and open, and be as accurate as possible. Please study the photographs carefully since they are an integral part of the description. Please do ask questions if you require clarification on any part of the description. Antique and vintage watches are by their very nature second hand, and their history and use an unknown quantity.

They should be considered as in need of servicing, even if they are listed as running , and unless otherwise stated they may need other adjustments or maintenance. Covers can often be stiff to remove, and may require a sharp blade or watch-knife to open. This is normal, and not a fault.

Expect a piece to exhibit exterior and sometimes interior wear and tear, commensurate with its age and use. Please do not expect an antique watch to run or operate consistently or reliably just like a modern timepiece. If they are listed as not working, any additional comments or suggestions I make are purely my opinion, and in no way a guarantee of any kind whatsoever. If listed as in working order, this is no guarantee of future reliability.

However, occasionally things can go wrong. Occasionally this can lead to unforeseen delays. I do NOT post to the African continent under any circumstances.

A very rare WW1 solid silver screw-cased officer's trench watch. Clean high quality Swiss 15-jewel movement, with a double cut compensation balance. In running condition, face up and face down. However, it winds to the top of the cycle, so the mainspring is absolutely fine. When running, it keeps decent time too.

The hands adjust ok too... But really this piece needs servicing. Dennison solid silver case, with screw down front and rear covers. As you would expect for an example of this kind, both covers are a tad stiff, but will fit flush. The rear one is very tricky to re-align... But will go on with a little patience! Both silver lugs are excellent and 100% intact. Signs of a small fracture at 7-8... But otherwise good, with red 12. Original leather strap, which apart from a little perishing on one side, is actually pretty good. A great WW1 officers trench watch. This is a fine addition to any military timepiece collection. Note : The front cover fits much better, and aligns well. Although still a little stiff on it's final turn, I have lubricated the threads both front and rear with fine high quality watch oil.
