WW1 British / Australian Mk 1 Steel Helmet (Brodie Helmet ANZAC)

An original hard to find British Mk1 Steel helmet with its liner, top pad and chin strap intact and in excellent condition. This is example is one of the best I have come across in recent times. Indicating that the helmet was made by Hadfield Ltd of. Sheffield between 1916 and 1918 (donut present) and the steel batch number 86. A nice and clear red War Office stamp can be seen.

A really nice and neat WW1 British / Australian Mk1 helmet. No rust, leather chin strap is complete, top pad is complete and in place and most impressive of all is that the black headband which is so often stiff and fragile is quite pliable and soft. So hard to find in this condition. Note - I will be away from the office from December 14th until January 5th. Apologies for the extra burden.
