WW1 Imperial German Gas Mask

WW1 Imperial German Gas Mask. This mask is well over 100 years old; and still In great shape! This is a last model of Gummimaske, the Type-3 Rahmenmaske. The mask itself is a size 3 I believe is dated 1916 or 1917.

The rubber is somewhat stiff but is expected after this age. It is however still malleable without causing damage to the mask as it is not brittle! The banger is however that the left eye lense is cracked. The can is complete with beautiful late war maroon cotton ersatz straps which was the reason I bought the set you just dont see these straps! The can is in expected condition with dings and rust and some early paint splatter on the bottom but does not take away from the apperence as the set still displays absolutely above par in a war room.
