Every component is marked in some manner. These are harder & harder to find. It is very rare to find one so complete and in such excellent condition. Besides the detailed description belowall brass fittings have some degree of patina on them. This is an Estate find and the only story that goes with it, is the owner was a veteran of Mexican Operations of 1916 & WW1.
First Aid Pouch : Brass snaps & hanger. Springfield Ammunition Pouches & Web Belt : Very good conditionall snap Eagle marked, all snaps work. It carries nine Springfield ammo pouches, attached to the web belt.
All cartridge pouches in-tact, but a few have very small amount of fraying. Under the 1911 ammo pouch, on the web bet has what appears to be the name of Clark, Dfurther down the belt is a large number 72. Web belt is 3 ½ wide and from buckle to buckle the belt measures 36. Some areas cannot be read, belt believed to be a MILLS.
1911 Ammunition Pouch : Very good condition, stitching & snaps excellent. Cartridge loops very good and in-tact.
1911 Holster : Very good to almost excellent conditionmarked US. Under Flap is marked BOYT 1918 J. Stitching is excellent & strong, rivets excellent & strong with one exception. The 1911 riser (inside holster) stitching has come loose at the top.
Saber Straps & Hanger : Hanger Appears to be Brass (tarnished) stamped J. Strap 1: Long Strap: Dark brown leather, with brass fittings. Strap 2: Short Strap: marked 1908, W. Has all brass fixtures and measures 9.
