WWI US Army M1917 Bayonet & 1st Pat Leather Scabbard Winchester M1917 Enfield
WWI Era AEF US Army M1917 Bayonet & 1st Pattern Leather Scabbard - Marked: Winchester 1917 - for the M1917 Enfield Rifle & US Trench or Riot Shotguns - Very Nice Condition - Original. This is an Original Bayonet & Leather Scabbard. The bayonet is marked "W" in a circle for Winchester and dated 1917.
On the other side of the blade it is marked the US Flaming Bomb and Eagle Head Proof. The blade still has some of the original two-toned finish. Some minor finish wear on the pommel and guard. The wooden handles are in nice condition. The blade has no rust or pitting, no nicks or chips.
No evidence of excessive sharpening. It has the original 1st Pattern Leather Scabbard with the GF in an oval marking on the metal throat and tip. This scabbard has the boelt hook on a leather hanger, rather than incorporated into the metal throat of the scabbard.The Scabbard is faintely marked Jewell 1917. The bayonet is used, please see photo's for condition.
