Swiss 78 Card Scenic View Tarock Deck. Very rare deck of J. 21 Major Trumps (as well as a Fool, or Joker, card) & 56 Minor Suits. Hasle pres Berthoud on King.

The rare images of this deck display beautiful places & scenic monuments in Switzerland previous to the war. Scenes include: Fribourg, Lion de Lucerne, Geneve, Chamonix, Chillon, & Grindelwald.

Printed on sturdy pasteboard card-stock. Traditional French suits of Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs & Spades, A-10, J, Kn, Q, K. Turned courts & t wo-way pips.

Reverses with a blue & black plaid pattern of diagonal lines. Card measurements: 10.8 cm X 6 cm, stack stands apprx.

Complete deck of 78 cards. C ondition: fair condition; complete deck of well-used antique cards; surfaces show minor amounts of scuffing & patina as well as darkened soiling. Worn corners and deteriorated edges from use. Cards also retain an old musty cellar smell, and. 8 cards as pictured have notable damages (the 4 & 8 of spades with surface damage, the 2 of hearts & 10 of diamonds with a broken corner each, and the 7 of spades, 8 of diamonds, A of diamonds, & A of hearts with a creased corner each).
