GERMAN WW1 SNIPER BODY ARMOUR / STEEL / FULL SCALE REPLICA HAND FORGED BEAUTIFUL PIECE. As worn by German WW1 trench snipers.

This looks like old fashioned knights armour but it was designed for the German Army in WW1 to help the exposed snipers in the trenches. The breast plate simply hooks over the shoulders and it has three separate lower panels to protect the groin area. The extra panels are fixed to the main breast plate by straps.
