Up for sale is a vintage pair of bronze soldiers on horseback castings. Would make a perfect addition to any collector's battle-themed display. I have not been able to find out much information regarding these plates or covers on where they may have been used and for what purpose. They are very decorative and well done.

There is an inscribed name of "Wolseley" on the back. Maybe Field Marshall Garnet Wolseley? Battle scene under the horse on each one. These covers may have been attached to a large wooden column or mailbox post or similar.
