WWI Elgin Trench Watch With Vintage Strap With Stevo Strap Fury Strap
Its APPROXIMATELY 32.5mm wide (not counting the crown) & 37mm lug to lug. The enamel dial is is nice condition, no cracks. This week I took it to my jeweler (Simon Jewelers in San Antonio) and everything checks out. Hes been repairing watches since 1950.
Its running a little fast. The watch runs well (again a little fast). The power reserve is less than a day. I wore this so infrequently that I would let the watch run down and set it when I wore it.This caliber is from 1899, so you MUST take care not to overwind it. Philadelphia manufactured the case, and its silverode. This watch is fairly accurate.
I set it against my G-Shock and its gained approximately 45 seconds over a day and a half. Please keep in mind that the caliber is 100 years old and adjust your expectations accordingly. The watch comes with a handmade strap from Stevo Straps in England. He designed this one for the movie Fury. But I requested he make the bund rectangular.It will fit any watch with a 16mm lugs, and I was using this on my WWII WALTHAM for a time. Im including this strap with the watch. He has heart worms and needs medical treatment ASAP.
