Lot of 4 WWI-Era Cartes Taride Maps - Vibrant Colors, Fragile Paper - Ideal for Matting & Framing. Offered here is a lot of four original WWI-era Cartes Taride maps, each printed on extremely fragile, thin paper with striking, vibrant color uncommon for maps of this period.

These display beautifully and would look exceptional professionally matted and framed. 3, 6, 6 BIS, and 27, each with its original cardboard cover. 1 cover shown in the photos is for reference only and is.

6bis - Lorraine, Basse Alsace & Vosges Size: 35 x 20 in. Condition: One 1 seam tear at the edge; several small holes at corner folds. 27 - Les Bords du Rhin: Mayence à Strasbourg Size: 19.5 x 25.5 in.

Condition: Excellent overall ; small tear along one seam at the border. 3 - Carte Routière pour Automobilistes & Cyclistes: Environs de Paris, Section Nord-Est Size: 36 x 28 in. Condition: Excellent, with only tiny holes at corner folds. 6 - Carte Routière pour Automobilistes & Cyclistes: Est de la France Size: 35 x 27.5 in.

Condition: One small tear at a corner fold. Any minor imperfections can be easily negated by professional matting, making these ideal for display. These maps were acquired as part of a larger group of WWI-era materials attributed to Major Baird, whose reconnaissance and cartographic materials are known among military-history collectors. Cardboard covers are included for each map.
