WWI Era US Army Canvas Carry Case for the M1903 Springfield Rifle - Original. Up for sale is a WWI Era US Army AEF Canvas Carry Case for the M1903 Springfield Rifle. This is aan Original Carry Case. No rips or tears in the canvas, the seams are all intact, no fraying. There is some fraying on the retention strap.

The end cap is still present. It still has the canvas shoulder strap. Some pull marks on the canvas flap. There is some soiling of the canvas.

On the inside of the flap is a hand written ID: Lt. Please see photos for details and condition. This will make a great display item for your WWI Vintage US Rifle. Vintage leather slings that are 105+ years old will not be as strong as they were when they are new.

Putting this sling to actual usage to carry the weight of the rifle, may cause the leather to break. For all collectors of WWII US Battle Rifle, M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, M1903A3 Springfield Rifle, M1941 Johnson Rifle, etc. Check out my other items.
