12 Eagle Stamp Patton US Calvary Officer Sword Saber Dated 1918. For your consideration is this World War I US Patton Cavalry Officer Sword Dated 1918 by LF&C. Landers, Frary, & Clark were contracted to manufacture these swords in 1917 & 1918 designed by the future General George Patton. In Inter-war manuals, these are also known as the "M1917 Calvary Saber".

This straight, tapered double-edged blade measures 35 ½ from tip to hilt. There are no nicks in the blade, but it shows signs of oxidation. The ricasso is marked with "LF&C 1918" with the eagle stamp on one side and US no. 12 with the eagle stamp on the other side.

The hilt measures 7 and features the checkered bakelite grip. The knuckle guard is of curved steel and forms a full basket guard, also showing oxidation. I have not cleaned this sword other than dry wiping it. Please see the photos for details. The item "WWI LF&C No.
