1918 WIRE CUTTER CARRIER/POUCH WITH TYPE 1 EARLY CARR SNAP. A very scarce and seldom seen WW1 USMC wire cutter pouch. Up for sale is a rare World War 1 1918 contract USMC Type 1 wire cutter carrier/pouch with an early-style Type 1 Carr snap. The long-time collector I bought it from identified it as USMC Depot manufactured, but there are no markings on the pouch indicating this. The early WW1 style Carr snap has the following stamp on it (see detailed photos) Carr Fast.

This early production pouch is in unissued condition with light storage staining. Message me if you want the. The pouch is 9 1/4 inches long, 3 inches wide. Here's the original item description when I bought the pouch 15 years ago.

RARE 1918 CONTRACT, USMC, WIRE CUTTER CARRIER / POUCH, USMC DEPOT MFG, MINT UNISSUED CONDITION. DAN WHITTON, MSGT USMC(RET). Not the sort of item to have survived in large numbers, particularly if they experienced any significant use in the field. He pouch is very collectable and quite difficult to find.
