Leather is exactly like it was 100 years ago. The collar has been sewn down, and the button-hole at the edge of the folded-collar has been sewn shut (done by the soldier who had it, as the thread is WW1-issue sewing kit thread). Tag on the inside reads'Borman Sheep Lined Coat Company, New York. Size of breast is 40, which is a rather scarce measurement. Looks to have a'Aug.
