WW1 / WW2 Austro Hungarian Mountain M1909 Alpine Cap Gebirgsjager VERY NICE

I cannot say this enough. Made of wool and leather, this M1909 Alpine Cap in AMAZING condition! This style of the cap probably dates from around the inter-war period (1920's-1930's), and was most likely from a WW1 Veteran (no history is known, however). T retains 90% of it's original finish, with no marks, holes, or mothing!

Features an interesting Wheat/Flower Sprig, as opposed to the usual Grouse Tail Feather. It is possible that the FJI Cockade is a replacement (reproduction, I believe), due to the style of prongs at the back (one prong is broken), however all the other pins appears to be 100% authentic, and include.

21st Army Korps Austrian Mountain Troops 1916. 12 Mountain Troop Artillery Regiment. Below the Sprig is a Roman Numeral "III" (probably indicating 3rd Army), as well as what appears to be a Shoulder Strap Insignia. The manufacture label is still present on the inside of the cap. AVERY interesting Cap it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
