1917 World War One American Poster - Shall We Be More Tender with our Dollars than with the lives of our sons? The poster is in good condition with the one rip mark seen bottom right and a few vertical rips from the bottom up - maybe that is why it was mounted to protect it. I cleaned off most of the age dust on the protective plastic so you can see the faces and poster are in excellent condition. Happy to answer any Questions you have and can send more pics if needed. One of the very important functions of the people on the home front during World War I was to financially support the war effort and the soldiers fighting overseas. The artist of this poster was William Gibbs and unfortunately not much is known about him. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This measures 19.25" x 29.25" (49cm x 74cm) - Board is slightly larger - see pics.
