Antique French Model 1866 Chassepot Bayonet Sword + Sheath TR1407

French Model 1866 Saber Bayonet measuring 27" overall with a blade length of 22.5". Blade and scabbard shows age patina with fine scattered pin-prick pitting. Etienne Arsenal markings on top of the blade with what looks to be a 1868 date. The press-stud is frozen and the left of the the pommel press-stud button is not attached to the right side of slot piece. See photos for further details.
