Antique WWI Period 1913 -1918th. Was mounted on Mauser Gewehr 98 # 2109!

GERMAN sniper rifle scope C. Goerz/Berlin 4X with rare, front receiver Akah QD sniper mount and base(base, I think repro/machine shop/gunsmith made). Excellent condition for this age scope. Lenses in good condition without damages or cracks. Not typical for 100 or more years rifle scope. Goerz/Berlin produced rifle scopes in Germany prior to World War I for use on sporting rifles.

With the onset of the war, C. Goerz/Berlin scopes, along with many other previously manufactured sporting rifle scopes, were adopted by the German Army for use on their Scharfschutzen-Gewehr 98 and K98 Sniping Rifles.

Goerz scopes are scarce in the USA. Length 262 mm or 10.25 inches. Main tube diameter 25.6 mm. Eye tube diameter 37.9 mm. Objective tube diameter 34 mm.

Weight 19.6 oz or 556 gram(with mount and base). Excellent scope for the sniper Gewehr 98, K98 Mausers. Please look my other scopes and mount in E-bay store or Gunsinternational.
