Antique World War 1 Cavalry Saddle Brown Leather with Apron/Fenders Whitman

Antique World War 1 Cavalry Saddle Brown Leather with Apron/Fender Whitman? I had several people look at this saddle, and the consensus is that is is definitely military, and most likely from the 1930s World war One era. It's seen use but has been cared for. The leather is still supple and intact, in fact I've been told that although it will most likely appeal to buyers as a show piece, it may still be usable. The stirrups are more modern with an old version of rubber at the base, but the straps are original.

There are NO MARKINGS anywhere on the saddle, which I was told was common for saddles made in that time. A beautiful chocolate brown that only 100 years of age can produce. This saddle was rescued from the trash as a house with many old military collectables was being emptied.

There was no way I was going to have this beautiful historical piece tossed away. It has stories to tell and deserves to be with someone who appreciates it.
