Framed Antique 1917 World War 1 Yard Long photograph depicting Wagon Co. 1 of the 103rd Ammunition Train at Fort Hancock, GA.
Photo taken on December 11, 1917. Fort Hancock was one of the largest, although short lived military installations of the time established in 1917 and decommissioned in 1919. Photo is in good condition considering it's age and shows wear consistent with age and use. To protect the integrity of both the antique frame and photograph, the photo has not been removed from the frame, so the wear as described is what is visually noticeable through the glass.
Wear consists of some crazing, scratches, minor water damage, as well as two small creases. Glass and wood frame were lightly cleaned some dust/soiling remains, presumably under the glass. Wood frame is in good overall condition with one corner beginning to separate. There are also a couple of small paint spots on the frame and glass. Original hanging wire is included, however it has been removed to prevent damage. Please review photos to determine condition. Framed photo measures approximately 34 3/4" x 12 1/2". Very nice WW1 photograph for the collector!
