British WW1 1914 pattern Kitchener Leather Equipment Frog & Helve Holder
This is a very nice condition item which I originally bought in the late 70s from Blunderbuss Antiques. Matched set in a mid brown tone with a very feint makers mark to the back of the frog but you can see the date 1915 with separate broad arrow above. The back of the frog strap is ink stamped with the soldiers number which may be 2816 with two letters after which are a little difficult to interpret but could be WY but more likely NF (Northumberlands).
