37+- Model Planes, Tanks, Vehicles. From Kitty Hawk through Korea/Vietnam.

You are getting them finished for you, museum quality, FREE literally saving you or your museum 100's of hours of work! Hand assembled in the 1960's from quality plastic scale model kits available at that time.

Adult assembled by WWII veteran who served in Patton's 3rd Army, and familiar with the correct markings and paint schemes for these planes and vehicles. Advised by senior family member who worked at Wright Patterson Airforce Base who had actually met the Wright Brothers and visited their bicycle shop in Dayton, Ohio.

Models in collection include: Taken From List from deceased builders records. Not certain if all those listed are still in this collection and the list does not include every one of the 37 piece plane and vehicle collection. 2 other fabric wing aircraft from post Kitty Hawk era. Lancaster "Dam Buster" from famous WWII 19 plane mission. Props rotate, gun pods swivel, landing gear retracts and tires roll, ailerons and flaps move, detailed cockpit. Vought F4U Corsair "Markings : "Pappy Boyington. North American Harvard II - T6 Trainer.

This is truly a museum quality collection. Most props and wheels spin. The Lancaster has many moving parts (see above). The tanks have turrets that traverse, raise and lower.

The vehicles, the artillery pieces and carriers articulate as does the missile launcher. The paint and markings are historically accurate in location and color, right down to parts like cockpits, pilot and crew figures, wheel wells, and armament, bombs and rockets. The F4U Coursair, for instance, carries the markings of Pappy Boyington's plane.

Most all are in very good condition. Some have slightly fogged clear plastic canopies, paint that shows some discoloration due to age. I believe there are 2 aircraft with one blade each missing that could be fairly easily replaced by scavenging from other 1:72 airplane kits for a suitable replacement when painted to match. One aircraft has a landing gear that broken at mount but is in the collections parts bag and can be easily glued back in place.

The tail wheel for the Lancaster is broken off but in the wheel is in parts bag and can be glued back in place. One machine gun on an armored vehicle broke at the mount but is included in the bag. That is all we have found. Due to extreme delicate nature of this valuable, museum quality collection - LOCAL PICK-UP IS PREFERRED. Of course, local pick-up by you is free. Each individual aircraft or vehicle will be individually protected.
