German Prussian War-Time Infantry Officer Sword WW1

This is a good example of a German Prussian War-Time Infantry Officer Sword that dates from the World War 1 Era. It is mounted with a straight, fullered blade that measures 30 1/2 inches in length which remains in very nice original condition. The guard has now richly patined with age and remains very tight and sturdy, however the leather finger loop although present, is severed. The composite grip also remains sturdy with the cypher secure but the twisted wire wrap is loose. The metal scabbard is War-Time black painted and remains in very good serviceable condition.
