Gibson 1917 Gibson L-4 Sunburst L 4 WWI! This guitar has seen a whole century of life and is still sounding and playing great. It has the original rosewood bridge piece, the original actual tortoise shell pickguard and the original case.

The pickguard even has the patent date on the plate, July 4th 1911! The neck is super thick, as these were before truss rods.

The tailpiece was changed at some point to another vintage Gibson style. As is common with these vintage pieces, there have been plenty of repairs over the years. There is a repaired couple cracks on the top and a repaired crack on the heel of the neck that runs to the sides.

There are spots where the binding has been repaired. The guitar even comes with the original case, which does close, but the leather handle is broken on one end.
