Really cool grouping of items as found in the WW1 suitcase of Fred Jones with the 350th Infantry Regiment, 88th Division which saw service in Europe in WW1. I did a little research on Fred and he started off as a Sergeant in another regiment and finished the war as an officer. This includes his unit marked suitcase with loose handle, pistol belt with 1917 dated holster (overall this set in very good shape), first aid pouch and ammo mag (both with no contents).
His M1910 haversack and gasmask bag (both a little salty). The mask is present with filter and dimmer can but the mask is falling apart though, the rubber basically disintegrated. Also his pocket knife, mess kit, all the brass stencils for unit markings with the original brush AND black polish which after 100 years is hard as a brick. Shaving mirror, some first aid bandages, inflatable pillow, metal cans and small odds and ends and what appears to be a rubber rain hat. Interesting group id'd to one guy, these are getting harder to come by.The item "Id'd WW1 350th Inf Regt 88th Division Officer Suitcase with Contents, Holster Rig+" is in sale since Friday, December 14, 2018.
