Imperial German 1871 WW1 Hesse Lieb Life-Guard Pickelhaube Spike Helmet 115 Regt

This is a rare original per-WW1 1871 pattern Imperial German Hesse Lieb or Life_Guard NCO's black lacquer finished leather pickelhaube. Gilt finished metal front plate and other metal fixtures. No extra holes behind front plate.

Special commemorative 1621 ribbon plate. The helmet body is still extremely well formed overall. No Reich's cockade and non-serrated Hesse cockade. Cloth liner with leather sweat band. There is more but I can't read it.

Red leather liner facing applied to the underside of rear visor. Overall extremely well preserved for an item of this age.
