The front of the four-armed Maltese cross shows a King's crown on the upper arm with a'W' in the center. The lower arm is dated'1914'. The reverse side is hand engraved that reads'Hauptm. Has a wide vertical pin back with a'c' catch. There is a maker's mark at the base that reads'KO'.

Three-piece die struck nickel construction with a magnetic center. Awarded for gallantry in combat action.
