Imperial German WW 1 Pickelhaub 1916 Baden Infantryman Leather Helmet

This "pickelhaub" was for a Baden Infantryman. The leather has aged and wrinkled over the last hundred years. You can see a crease in the left side of the helmet.

The cockade on the right side has some of the white paint partially peeled off. The strap on the right side is beginning to separate from its buckle. Inside the helmet, stamped in black ink is B. All the hardware is tarnished. In the metal banner under the eagle is MITT GOTT F. Truly a remarkable piece of militaria! Thanks for looking and best of luck!
