Large WWI 1915 Omega trench wristwatch in silver case, shrapnel guard, SERVICED

The handsome white, porcelain dial features a 24-hour design with fine, red numerals, and larger outer Arabic numerals with lume intact, an outer counter ring, excellent hour and minute hands, and a seconds subdial with a blue steel hand. There are a few small hairline cracks in the dial (see photos). The superclean, running hand-wound Omega signed movement is 16 jewels, and quickly takes off when wound. It was serviced about five years ago by Glen Butler at Antique Watch Repair Inc. Which specializes in older wristwatches. The watch has seen little use since that service. The large double hallmarked silver watch case features a removable bezel holding the acrylic crystal, a snap close dust guard and a snap back cover. All are in very fine condition and close tight and correctly. The lugs are in very good condition. The shrapnel guard is removable and is steel. The brown leather strap is soft and fits a large wrist. This is a rare, handsome and no disappointment watch considering its age of 103 years! I describe my items as accurately as is possible. All wristwatches will need servicing at regular intervals.
