Beautiful Antique Demi Half Hunter Wrist Watch with Solid Sterling Silver Case. Hallmarked with 925 for Sterling Silver, import to Birmingham and t for 1918. Large 35mm case with 12mm wire lugs.
Quality Swiss Movement is nice and clean. In good working condition and keeping time, but there are no guarantees. It winds well and the hands set nicely. The front cover has Arabic Numerals highlighted with black enamel (worn) and acrylic crystal porthole. The white enamelled Dial also has Arabic Numerals.
The dial is in excellent condition with only one very faint hairline. Original matching Blued Steel Cathedral Hands. The hinge on the front cover is intact and work well.The front cover is released by a relatively large button between the Lugs. The hinge spring works well.
Inner Bezel with vintage low domed mineral glass. Bezel seemed a little loose but is located securely. The Rear Cover is Screw on. The threads are in working condition but its a bit fiddly. Complete with new leather two piece trench watch strap.
There is overall wear and marks commensurate with age and use. There are surface indentations in the front and rear covers. There have been old repairs to the Lugs adjacent to the hinge.
