However with Some Work, the Name May be Able to be Deciphered. This Was Once an Outstanding and Beautiful Helmet with a Pattern Very Similar to Those Seen on German Helmets of the Period. However, Neglect and Time Have Taken a Heavy Toll on this Once Beautiful Piece. The Good News Is there are NO Dings or Dents and Only Minor Rust is Visible.

No flaking or Rust of Any Sort that Degrades the Integrity of the Steel. Helmet Has NOT Been Lacquered or Shellacked.

The Chinstrap Loops Remain Present and the Lot Number of "ZC 216" Remains Visible. The Paint that Remains Displays Quite Nicely and Bears a Distinguishable Pattern with Some Good Color. Overall, the Helmet Remains a Displayable Piece with a Great, Detailed Camo Pattern that Was Very Well Done.

This Helmet was Recently Found in Louisiana and Though it is Far From Perfect, it Remains a Nice "Survivor" Piece. We Would Consider it a Good Example for the Entry Level Collector or it will Make a Nice "Place Holder" In Your Collection Until You can Find a Better Example of this Style of Camouflage.
