Original WW1 British Army 1917 No110 Mark 234 Field Telephone Wooden Case. This sale is for a genuine period No 110 Mark 234 field telephone case which was used by British forces. During the First World War. At the beginning of the First World War civilian telephone were put into front line service, however, they were not designed to operate in muddy conditions. Field telephones like the No110 Mark 234 were specially designed and better suited to the conditions on the Western Front.

The telephone case is in overall good original condition and features a webbing carry handle, metal internal divider, connections of telephone No110 diagram and fully operational hinges and latch. The diagram features a file reference: WAR 110/17 denoting 1917, the diagram is also signed and dated 15.2.1918 (see pictures). Please look at my other items for more militaria and collectables.
