


This is an original formally museum piece I obtained from Estate sale. This is a historic piece owned by Carl Ditzer himself.
Deezer was a known author of books and wrote movies including car 99 that starred Fred McMahon. This item is in good used condition. Please research this piece of history. You will see pictures of this identification. It is not a replica or a forgery the pictures you see online are this identification that I have listed for sale. I have not been able to find another for sale anywhere. However, I do believe a similar identification is on display at the army CID. This identification is signed by Carl Ditzer and also Lieutenant Colonel in charge Edmund O.Own a piece of history! The identification is approximately 4 1/2 inches by 6 inches.
The sketch is approximately 5" x 3" and is a thin paper. There are two tape spots they would have to be carefully removed because of framing. This may be the earliest known military police identification. That identification is discolored due to normal age and has some creases from normal use. The outside is leather bound.

This is a World War I-era Criminal Investigator's Identity-Pass Card issued to Captain Karl W. Detzer of the Provost Marshal General's Department, Division of Criminal Investigation. The card is dated and issued between May and August 1919.
It includes a photograph of Captain Detzer and an official "Provost Marshal General Official" stamp. The text is in both English and French, reflecting the American Ex.
