Original WWI WW1 German Iron Cross Ring silver box war soldier stamped antique

Silver WW1 Iron Cross German ring and period paper ring box. As shown in the photo, the approximate size is 5.5 (16mm); since the band is broken, the size can be adjusted. There is a stamp inside 800. There is a break in the band at bottom, off center.

Heavy wear and use to the silver, patina. Enamel is worn but in good condition. Box shows wear and use, good condition overall.
