Pre-WWI Era US Army Cavalry M1912 Picket Pin & Leather Scabbard - Very Nice Condition - Original. Up for sale is a pre-WWI Era US Army Cavalry M1912 Picket Pin & Leather Scabbard. These were originally used by the US Army Cavalry to secure their horses, while resting in a picket line. It was normally attached to the saddle with the two leather straps. The scabbard is used, see photo's for condition.

The leather is soft and supple, some minor surface cracks on the body, no crazing. All seams are still intact. Some minor surface cracks on the two straps and the retention strap.
